CAS(E) This sketch challenge 16

Challenge 16 was this sketch.

Which inspired me to create this using stamps from Stamps of Life. I swapped the position of the elements but stayed with the basics design of the sketch. The crayons are a two part stamp where the crayon color is stamped first and then over stamped with the crayon paper.

A little bit of sunshine on such a dreary day

Here in mass. We were supposed to get a couple of feet of snow. Since it was so dreary, I thought it would be fun to scrap some pictures of warmer days. I used another page kit from Scrapbooking "fun" addicts. These are from last June when Nicholas was around 19 months old. This was one of the days he enjoyed being in his pool for more than 15 minutes.

Page kits

As I navigate my way through LOAD, around 50% of the time I use a purchased kit.  There are so many cute designs out there.  I have a large inventory of kits as I ca't seem to help myself.   Be assured the three manufacturers listed below are in no means the only one that I support with my shopping habit.  Today I am sharing some of thes kits that I have used so far......

We try and keep the kids food pretty healthy .... So very light on the sweets.  As a result, this was Nicholas's first experience with cake.  He had a blast.  We had to hose down him, his high chair, and the floor under his high chair but it was well worth it!

"How to eat a birthday cake" is from Scrapbook "Fun" addicts

Next is a layout from Time flies and was Nicholas's first culinary experience with lobster.  While he seemed to like the lobster, he enjoyed playing with the claw even more.

And finally this cute one from the whole kit n Kaboodle.

Clean and simple cards bonus day

The clean and simple 2 bonus lesson of the day was all about die cutting.  I was in need of a card for a house warming gift and this die by Dee's distinctively seemed to fit the bill.  The online card classes are all great.  I love that the content is always available. I also posted this as part of the A blog named hero challenge.

Load day 7

The prompt was to create a page about nature.  The first thing I thought of we're these images from a whale watching trip we took out of Boston.  It was a family outing - Nicholas, Andre, my mom and dad.  I was very pregnant with Matthew - just 19 days from my scheduled c-section.  It was a good day to go since the seas were not too rough.  In highly recommend purchasing the photos from the ship photographer if you are fortunate enough to get a glimpse of these magnificent creatures.

Load day 6

My father took this picture of Matthew and I at his first doctor's appointment.  Looking at him now, I can't believe that he was soooo small.  I love that my dad captured this for me.

The paper and materials are from SEI.

Load day 5

Load day 4 prompt was to scrap our love for our significant other.  Instead I did a double page spread about my love for my men.  The double page layout is from Lickety Split.  I am a big fan of their kits.  I am signed up for the daily double.  I have had the pleasure of meeting these ladies at CKC in Manchester as well as PA.

LOAD day 2

Today's LOAD prompt was about Perfectly Perfect. Scrap your perfect day.  My layout is a bit of a twist on this prompt.  Instead I created a page about my favorite time of day.  Around 9 pm we crawl into what my son refers to as "baby bed" and we spend some time cuddling before the boys go to bed.  I love 9 pm

Clean and Simple Cards Day 5

I had a busy crafting day as I also finished my homework from Clean and Simple Cards 2  for day 5.  Here is what I came up with

LOAD

Welcome to my blog and my first blog entry!

LOAD has once again arrived.  If you are not familiar with LOAD check it out here. Day 1 challenge was "I’m speechless. Create a page with no words"  In looking through my recent photos I can across these three of Matthew shortly after he was born.   After I was stitched up and he was cleaned up they laid him on my chest, I was speechless.... New Love
